District Scout Leaders Meeting Reboot!
With the continued absence of an ADC Scouts for South Leics, we as leaders decided it was up to us to do something. So, last night was a very productive meeting of the leaders of (most of) the groups from the District. Ceri will continue to represent the District at County meetings, but the responsibility for chairing meetings, booking the venue and so on will be shared, everyone taking their turn.
As well as discussing the upcoming events, we took the opportunity to share programme, camp and game ideas, and just get to know each other as leaders. With so many in the Scout section having only recently re-formed or started, this was essential.
Hopefully now, we’ll keep the impetus and build on the connections we’ve made, to help each other out, and to make Scouting that much better for the Scouts in our charge.
