Building on the success of last year’s camp, the District are again putting on a Sixers and Seconders Camp in March. It will follow the same format as last year – the District Network are organising a daytime challenge hike for the Cubs on the Saturday, and the Cubs will be given the opportunity to brush up on their navigation skills beforehand on the Friday night. Teams of Cubs will go out on the hike (much like a slimmed-down Soaring Fox) accompanied by an adult shadow-walker.
The aim of the event is to introduce older Cubs to the type of activity they will be doing in Scouts, and at the same time introducing them to the Network and Explorer sections. It’s also a great opportunity for Cubs to mingle with other packs.
